Testing a car relay with a 9V battery

Just noting that it's possible to test some automotive relays with a simple 9V battery.

You also need to check continuity and resistance

Should probably teach them how to read the relay schematic first. Good call on testing the switch with 9v though.. anything that works that saves time when dealing with electrical on an automobile is positive direction. Swap the relays positions and try it again. First thing I do.

That doesn’t mean it’s working .that’s just the switch . It still could be faulty .
