The contacts inside of the relay can have fretting. Even though the coil functions, the relay can still be inop.

Relay coil, 85 and 86 are not polarity sensitive unless it has an internal diode for field collapse counter emf.

Resistance testing can tell you if a part is bad, but not if the part is good 👍

Multimeter method is preferable and the most accurate, a bad relay can still click; my fuel pump replay clicked but the resistance was shit at 44. Get a new relay and compare the resistance, you’ll get your answers easily

You only tested the coil. You forgot to check continuity between 30 and 87
The resistance between 85 and 86 should be between 80 and 89 ohms of resistance

I have a 2004 Chevy venture when I go to flip the wipers on and instantly blows the fuse I just started to do this after I replaced the wiper motor could it be the latest news relay it sounds like it just might I want to try to get another wiper fuse relay the next day so anyone can help appreciate any feedback

You connect the negative to 86 . Positive to 85?
But I thought in a relay 85 goes to negative & 86 to positive?

That would only test the electromagnet coil part of the relay, it would not tell you if the main relay contacts are good
