Thanks, can I test the on/off function by connecting the other two pins to a 12 volt battery?

just because 85 & 86 have continuity- DOES NOT mean the relay is functional. Take this video down, finish it and repost. Here, let me get you started. The relay in the vid is a 5pin relay so pins 30 & 87a are connected by default. When the relay is actuated, pin 87a is disconnected and pins 30 & 87 are then connected thereby powering the load (fan motor, headlight, etc). To test the relay, when 85 & 86 completes a 12volt circuit, you should hear an audible click or 'feel the click'. In your new video- you can actually take the cover off the relay and show the relay internals moving. hope this helps.

I went through your video and testing 85 and 86 got nothing but with 85 and 30 read about 90 so is the relay good?

My relay tested bad and read around 830, so I got a new one and tested it which read good. I tested the old one again just for the sake of testing it again and it oddly read good. I knew I had it on the correct setting the first time, because when I got the bad reading I double checked my setting. Does this sometimes happen to relays?

Nice video. Nissan horn not working. Good fuses and 12v on one blade plug. I tapped on horn relay and got it to work for a split second. Then nothing. Then the horn worked shortly thereafter for 1 night.

I've got a 3-blade Nissan horn relay. I can energize two blades and it clicks, but only in one direction. When I energize the two blades with a good 9v battery I measure about 4v on the output blade that goes to the horn. The 4v steadily decreases if I hold it on the 3rd blade and monitor it.

How do I confirm the relay is the issue? Thanks!
