I tried. It works just fine. Good video and information. Thank you for sharing 👍. Except that that is a 9v not a 12v, but for the purpose of testing it. it works with the 9v battery.

What if you get proper meter readings but don't pass the battery check

Only half the test. Test resistance across terminals after applying voltage

that's the primary coil test. incomplete testing

Not a foolproof way. You don’t know how much power it will handle. Just because it clicks doesn’t mean that the contacts are good.
