This is so true. I just left the Carnivore diet. Felt good in the beginning but then my uric acid was so high. So many gout issues. Now I'm on the plant based diet following Dr. Greger's daily dozen method. I'm making a commitment to NEVER going back to meat and animal products. Short term results don't equal long term results. FACTS!

Before eating whole food plant based, I ate omnivore low carb for years. Eating low carb (often even keto) made my inflammation stay put and it felt a lot better than eating carbs, like pasta, bread and rice. My food intolerances were through the roof, and cutting out carbs, I thought, was my only option. I went vegan for the animals and I had to choose a whole food plant based approach to minimise getting inflamed all the time. Guess what? Within a few weeks, my gut healed to the point I started to tolerate foods that I never thought I could and I have never felt better before. The only things I do avoid are most nuts, soy and peanuts. But going whole food plant based not only healed me, it also made me enjoy life again without the constant anxiety about what to eat and what not.

Im 100% vegan for more than 25.yrs now and I look 10.yrs yunger. Im very healthy and I exercise almost every day.I eat olive oil-extra virgin home made olive oil from our trees. My GI Its good and no one from my family has any health problems=my grand parents are over 90.yrs old and all of them consume olive oil. We also use It for our skin making soap and other cosmetic products for centuryes.

Dr. Cyrus is exactly correct, and for me being a T2D, the Vegan Diet is the most optimal diet for longevity and health. You’ll after a few weeks get off metformin, and hypertension will improve drastically after just a few months, and your high cholesterol will come down starting in just a few days. As a former Chef, I love cooking vegan. My sleep, breathing, body aches and skin have improved substantially. VEGAN FOR LIFE 🍆🌶🥒🥬🥦🥝🍑🍆🍍🍠🌽 LOVE YOUR BODY AND RESPECT IT !!
