Pavel Felgenhauer is an excellent analyst. It would be helpful to give him an entire segment to discuss his views.

Russia is on its third army, the original one has been decimated. Prisoners and conscripts who are untrained and ill armed have no heart in this fight. The only reason the Soviet armies of the past were victorious was because they had Ukrainians in those armies.

So, they captured 20% of Ukrainian territory but cannot defend their own territory. At this rate, Ukrainian troops could be on the outskirts of Moscow in 6 weeks.

It’s not about embarrassment for Putin to evacuate civilian, it’s about securing the civilian from the encounter. Will see how long will Ukraine stand this incursion.

To keep Russia away from middle-east. To halt any aid for Iran especially ammunitions and any weapons. That's the only reason I can see.
