Man ive got a story to tell you:
When I was in year 7 I had a revision lesson for a science test, we had to complete these revision work sheets, and once we did we got a fun wordserch that had nothing to do with science. The homework was to complete the science revision sheets. The next lesson after we finished our tests, the teacher went to check if we had completed the revision sheets. But it turns out she wanted the fun word sherch that had nothing to do with science was part of the revision and half the class didn't complete it because we assumed that it was just a fun activity for the end of that lesson. And the teacher gave half the class a detention because we didn't complete a fun, nothing to do with science word sherch that she didn't even call a revision sheet.

Basically, in my school we have a thing called a parking zone where you get sent to another class, and get a forty minute detention with the head teacher. I once got one from a sub after I said “what” to them when I couldn’t hear them over the other people in the class talking, he said I had attitude and parked me. He did this to four other kids and another teacher came into the class we were sent to as so many detentions were being logged. We explained how ridiculous the teacher was and luckily we had the detention wiped.

Once I got a detention because I was in Drama and I was put into a group of class mates who where pretending to beat up me and others even though that was clearly not what we were meant to be doing. Since I was in the group I WAS IN BOTHER, though i didn't even do anything. Some teachers have real mental problems. I'm sure a similar situation has happened to other people.

I’ve gotten two detentions. One for forgetting my different socks for PE and in RE (Religious Education) our class had to learn the definitions of 10 words in a PowerPoint, and I was studying P 1, but we were actually doing P 2. The reason I learned P 1 is cuz someone sent me that instead of P 2, and two of the four of us who studied P 1 knew at least 4 of the definitions (that was the minimum passing mark) but me and someone else didn’t know, and we got a 2/10. I got a break time detention for it even though I explained to the teacher I studied the wrong one. Apparently it was my fault for not knowing that it was a different subject.

I only ever got three detentions and they weren't even my fault. The first one was in Year 8, just before the COVID lockdown our head of year gave the whole year a detention because "we were all talking", not that I was. The second time also happened to be in Year 8, was when our Geography teacher gave the class a detention because were were giving the trainee teacher a really bad time, or something like that. The third time, was with the same Geography teacher in Year 10, when were doing fieldwork writeup and I said that this work was S H I T. But I didn't actually say as shit, I just spelled it out, hoping that I wouldn't get any consequences. I did. But the only reason I got a detention was because she gave other students in the class a detention. I am so glad I do not have that teacher anymore.

We had a substitute for English, there was this kid that was just smiling normally. The substitute said "your not supposed to smile in English, it's not meant to be fun" and gave him 3 detentions 💀.

Please please please do a video on dumb stuff teachers have done, I've got a pretty funny story about my old physics teacher in secondary school

He was by far one of the worst teachers I've had the displeasure of being 'taught' by. It's not just one or two people who knew he was bad, pretty much everyone thought it. Commonly just scrolling through his phone during lessons, making people just copy out of a book and funniest case for me, seeing first hand, Legit just eating a bowl of cereal. In the same rooms that have a sign on the door telling people not to have food in them. I don't get why science teachers just have a reputation for being sub-par, but I get it with this guy

Mates were taking apart a school glue stick to throw at me. I got charged for destruction of school property for having glue behind me where I lean back that had been put there by them to f up my blazer. 👍

I got a detention in grade 5 for saying the words 'Red light'. Since this was in 2021, and squid game was a big thing, the school had banned the game Red light green light because people got shot in the show, and the phrase was banned too. I was telling my friend that I saw someone run a red light the other day, and he looked over my head in fear. I turned around and the teacher was right there. She gave me 3 hours of after school detention. Bullshit.

I got an afterschool detention in year 6 for sending a kid to the hospital accidentally while defending myself.
Supposed to stay afterschool for 45 minutes, ended up being 1 hour 30 minutes because my mum couldn’t figure out a way to get me home.
Luckily however the headteacher was nice enough to take me home.
