Currently in my Senior Year and had a very similar situation. Late too many times, got off because I'm a relatively good student and my teachers love me, but eventually got caught by the Dean walking in and got called in. Definitely weren't as many people in there and there was no Stacy but the supervising teacher did sympathize and let us go 30minutes early.
Love your storytelling dude, your personality just keeps me listening every time.

Let me tell you all about my first detention:
It was a Friday and it was period 1 I had reading and let me tell you I was not good at that class. I didn’t think it would get as bad as me getting a detention but I didn’t complete any questions as I was confused but the teacher gave me a detention anyway, although it was due on Monday. So it’s after school on a monday and I went to the detention room and the teacher, like you, got tired and let people out. I took the train so she especially let me and my friend out early. A five minute detention. Living the dream.
