WUTHERING WAVES HAS A MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY! | My Only Concern...

Thank you @meloo for allowing me to use your CBT 1 Footage!

This is an age of struggle. Since the Calamint a hundred years ago, beings hitherto unknown have taken root in our world, sowing discord and destruction. Civilization as we know it once teetered on the brink of collapse.
This is an age of hope. Survivors have buried the hatchet with their kin and enemies and started to rebuild from the ruins. They find hope in the glories of the bygone days. They erect cities and factories. They sing the praises of restoration.

As for you, Rover from the beyond. Whatever might have led to your awakening, we welcome you to these troubled lands. Your journey here will cross with many others'--and will be marked by mysteries and battles.
You shall go down as a legend, one that will bring rejuvenation to mankind.

Thank you Meloo for allowing me to use your CBT 1 Footage since I lost all of mine due to a hard drive failure. Please watch the entire video everyone! I'm voicing a concern that I really hope is fixed and this recent developer interview gave me hope that they are listening! Thank you.

Kuro is a legendary company. Rarely have I had the feeling that devs care about their community as much as they do

People really don't understand how major what Kuro did to the story is
These devs deserve a lot of love honestly

If I remember correctly, they touched on this towards the end of the interview, where Dong mentioned that he wants WW to be an ‘action-packed open world RPG’, so they will add more ‘combat’ in their open world. I'm not sure what he meant by that but I assume whatever they implement in their open world will be related to combat.

To keep an open world "Popin!" it needs random events that change as the game progresses. For example:
- 1) A group of travelers moving along the road to their new home with all their possessions get attacked and you need to defeat the attackers to save them.
- 2) Word in town says there is a den of monsters that just moved in and are causing havoc at a near by village.
- 3) While exploring there is a bright light and suddenly a portal appears and invaders come pouring out of it that you need to defeat to close the portal.
You get the idea.
But unlike Genshin these events should not be dailies that you repeat over and over for years with no changes to them. They need to be events that happen once and reward you for your time but never happen again.. at least not in the exact same way. When new content is added a few new events should be part of it so that over time there is plenty of changes happening in the world. Some of the events could actually change how a part of the world is viewed depending on the outcome of the event.

Anyway good video!

If they do implement this kind of stuff to do in the open world I believe it will be post-launch. 1.0 will most likely be packed with stuff since it's a whole new map, stories, leveling and characters to work around, but after that they might start collecting feedback on what we want to do in the world and then implement it later on.

The fact we can hunt Shiny/Echoes, challenge hard bosses to farm their echoes is enough reason for me to pour hours into it. I think that's a great endgame loop for the openworld. Correct me if am wrong, I think it doesn't even need Stamina to farm them only materials to upgrade that would need to use stamina. Can't wait for this game!!

This is a bit off topic, but can you imagine Kuro giving out a free 5* selector(excluding featured limited character ofcourse) from the start?

That'd be their biggest flex, since that's something the "competitor" never did and would never do. If WuWa starts out that great then I'd really have high hopes for them, and everything right just needs to fall into place.

*Just to add. I hope that potion making can be added in Wuthering Waves. Not the cooking mechanic in Genshin but something more involved where you choose specific ingredients and they have different quality as well as effective rate on different characters etc. will give incentive to players to collect over world materials over time and it should occupy some of our time. Adding a pouch that we can use for quick access to crafted potions during battles can be great. Status debuff that may happen under different conditions such as if the character is affected by certain ailment the effectiveness may reduce etc....

Idk this may seem too much ig idk but it's fun if potion can be implemented in the game. Would definitely occupy my time.

i think that concern of yours is something that can be fixed overtime. it takes time till we enter into our daily gameplay loop. we should also give the game a chance to evolve instead of having everything day 1. we will still have tons of stuff to explore and i doubt 1.0 will be the only content that was available in cbt.

I agree with you and in my opinion the best feedback is to be specific in our preferences to help them understand what players want. Want more single player combat, raid boss and guild, difficult and time-consuming puzzles, Fishing and farming, residence system? The more specific the community is, the more likely they are to adding something that will please the community. (sorry for the bad English, it's not my native language)

Wuthering Waves can take a page out of Palworld honestly on how to combine the best elements from multiple genres to surpass the competition, put the echo system to good use like Palworld, introduce some survival mechanics in this post-apocalyptic world

If equipment is just droppable (common, rare, etc), maybe...?

The game still looks awesome to be hype to try it comes out hopefully they will add stuff to do fo not get bored quick

What would be also amazing (in my opinion) is, if they would add unique scenarios

For example, a very difficult to beat mob appears from nowhere and after you beat it you can use it as an echo

So in co-op everyone would be confused to see a different echo for the first time. Wouldn‘t that be kinda cool?

I also think that random encounters are for a game very important. I want to feel fear/something unknown again

How about this:
There's weekly leaderboard events, where you beat certain monsters or collect stuffs. And every Monday it reset, give currency based on their ranks, use the currency to claim gacha currency (bare minimum) and excessive currency can be used to redeem weapon/gear/character upgrade materials.
And yes I'm talking about what Aether Gazer similar does. Kuro should implement that to Wuthering Waves and use open world to differentiate from Aether Gazer's weekly events.

From what I've heard, you cannot parry with gun characters. I hope they resolve this issue somehow like making focus shot the parry shot.

I really damn hope this game succeeds massively. It's about time Genshin gets an actual competitor.

And I also hope that they would stop copying Genshin's shtty system and actually put something grindable in the game. Something meaningful to do. Opening chests in Genshin is utter BS, opening a chest should give you that sense of excitement, not depression.

They should also consider people's time. A lot of people only have the weekends to play video games, having an energy system like in Genshin kills the fun of it. Pretty sure most of us have had enough with our parents restricting our playtime when we were kids. Now we're adults, let me play the damn game. Let me grind whatever tf I want to grind. They could easily scale it to prevent the average players from gaining absurd amount of resources. This has been done before, lots of MMORPGs doesn't have that stupid energy system.

Some would argue, energy systems are there to force players to play the game everyday. Well that's BS. Players that likes the game, will play it everytime they get a chance. And those who doesn't are not gonna play it everyday, with or without that energy BS.
