Meanwhile I'm 35 and have never had one. I'm envious, well done.

My dad told me abt this when I was 13 and it’s helped him a lot on life he has an extremely high credit score and he never had to pay interest or late fees and has never been in debt and I’m good with money bc of him

Jobs- you need experience in this job to get this job, but you need this job to get experience

Credit cards- You need a credit score to get a credit card, but you need credit cards to get a credit score.

My daughter bought her first home when she was still 20 years old . She used her mortgage redraw for car paid it off by 32 and till this day has never had a credit card. I think her credit score is about 800.

I don’t think people realize that the best way to get a good credit score when u are starting off as a young person is to have your parents put u on one of their credit cards as an authorized user. It’s called piggybacking. Your credit score will mirror to a large degree whatever (maybe not quite as good) your parents score is. Alas u first want to make sure your parents actually have good credit because it also works the other way around.

Not weird the world depends on that damn number far to much sadly n noone ever taught us about how important it would be. Just college is apparently lol

I'm 13, hoping to get a credit card so I can build credit score for when when I'm older and when I need to get a loan or a mortgage, so I can hopefully get a lower cost rate for the money I have to give to the bank

*DO NOT GET A CREDIT CARD, YOU WILL REGRET IT I PROMISE YOU! I HAVE NO REASON TO LIE TO YOU, IT’S NOT FREE MONEY AND THE INTEREST WILL KEEP YOU FROM PAYING IT OFF QUICKER THAN YOU TOLD YOURSELF YOU WOULD IN THE BEGINNING*
