as a person who started contemporary dance almost one month ago, it’s not that easy. at first, you will get frustrated.But at the end of the day, there’s no right or wrongs in contemporary dancing, because it’s all emotions and connection with your feelings

I would say I’m an intermediate dancer, with the experience of a few hip hop classes. And at school I joined the dance troupe :D which happens to do mostly … contemporary.
And being the 5’9, body conscious person with the literal flexibility of a thick stick, I was way out of my comfort zone. And it was a pity because the choreo is so cool.
And hearing that there is no right and wrong to contemporary and hearing that it’s all about interpretation, made me that little bit for confident :D

I want to start learning contemporary on my own. I'm going into my 3rd year of ballet classes and I really want to try it out on my own and see if I would want to start cross-training in contemporary. If you have any tips for getting started lemme know! :)
