As a person who doesn't do ballet this is very helpful

It's refreshing to see someone with more of a gym goers' physique practicing ballet. I've been interested in trying it for a while and watching you turn so beautifully is feeding my itch. Catch me googling adult ballet lessons in my area! 😭

If you can explain to an audience who does not do the thing you do and they understand, then youre a star in clear communication, good job!

This is the first time I’ve seen your body type doing ballet. It gives me courage to get out there! Thank you!

Thank you for showing the short legged peeps with thicker thighs just how gorgeous we can look doing ballet. I was first told I was fat and ugly by my ballet teacher when I was five years old. I wasn’t even fat…. You’re beautiful and this is so helpful!

This instruction is excellent! Clear language for the average person to understand (not just dance terminology), good visuals of the points you were making, and then how it all comes together correctly. I want more educators out there like you to get picked up by the YouTube algorithm gods.
Commenting as this came up in my feed for the second time (about 6 months apart).

It does make sense! I am a ballroom dancer, and what you said makes perfect sense, as in ballroom dancing turns always start with shoulders. Its cool to see interconnections between styles!

I’m 34. I don’t dance anymore. And I’m suddenly super annoyed that none of my teachers ever taught me this. No wonder I was so bad at these turns.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

As someone who used to do ballet and had this mistake corrected for me in a not very polite way this was oddly healing :)

I was a competitive ice skater who took ballet also. You’re absolutely correct ❤

Me speaking as a professional dancer, with zero formal training, , I have to say that that is the utmost, helpful example and piece of information I’ve ever come across, I just tried this right now, and I actually landed my turns for the first time ever!!! I just avoided this altogether 😂

You've taught me more in a while 1 minute video than my ballet instructor has in 8 years

I so appreciate this as someone picking up where she left off & getting back into it

After your explanation & watching the small box in the beginning again, I understand your instruction & see why there is misconception. Very interesting! I don't think I'd ever thought about where the momentum of the turn was coming from before. I love learning things like this.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! YES! This needs to go viral❤ it’s that kinetic energy from plié to releve that gives it propulsion. Brava!
