I used to think that it was a little strange that the big string brands didn't offer a way to order custom strings sets online, as surely there was a way to make it cost-effective. And then Stringjoy came along and proved me right!

I played the Daddarios a bit but never Elixir, I got into the 44-9.5 and never looked back but I went everywhere you went except Elixir. I tried those coated DRs and the tension was all wrong, its like if you want them for a show, go a gauge or two lighter. I really love your business, I love your simple person to person approach and most of all LOVE the strings, every set so far is still going strong.

Thanks Scott for all you do for us guitarists. Played Ernie Ball & Martin strings until I learned about your balanced sets. I’ve learned more about strings in the last few years than in the 30 before that. Stringjoy customer for remainder of my guitar days!!

Story sounded just like my own, especially with the wound 3rd, which is exactly why I play your strings. From the first set, I haven’t looked back.

Your strings are a joy to play, and they are cost-effective, lasting much longer - justifying the higher cost. I'm still waiting for flat-wounds though, also something coated like Elixir optiwebs - those are the ones that feel "normal". I'm currently trying Elixir polyweb, nano web, and optiweb strings on three different guitars right now - preferring the optiwebs so far. Usually the only strings I use are Stringjoy, except for flat-wounds and coated strings. Coated strings are especially useful for people who play outside often, buskers etc., and some people have a body chemistry that just corrodes strings quickly, if they aren't coated. I imagine the technology is expensive to implement, and that Stringjoy is working on it, or maybe you will never do it...? I do hope to see flat-wounds though. Cheers!

Been using Stringjoy for 4 or 5 years I guess. Added a wound 3rd a couple of years ago on my drop metal guitar and haven't looked back. I now have wound 3rds on all of my guitars. Every guage, every genre.

Thomastik-Infeld Power Brights, only thing that even compares to a set of Stringjoys! DR thrifty but leaves you wanting a set of Stringjoys!

PRS, Stringjoy, and NYXL. Absolute top 3 of all time.

Would love to buy custom sets of coated strings like DA XT which feels like normal strings.

but often I can get D'Addario and Ernie Ball strings at 2 for $10 or 2 for $12... vs 1 set of stringjoy for $12-$15... so for me.... pass.

Never buying again. Bought some for the first time and some of the thinner strings had corrosion which you could barely see but you could feel. I usually make sure none of my strings have corrosion before stringing by passing the length of each string through my fingers. The g, b and high e had corrosion.

Hi, I heared thick strings more causing fret wear down. What do you think about? Is it true? If I start to use 10-52 or 11-49 must I adjust my nut gauge?

I love D'Addario and their new NYXL are great but the gages... it's always a drama if you are not using standard tuning.
So I order a custom pack from Stringjoy, get the exact strings I need and get a lovely thank you note... Sorry D'Addario... you lost me
Keep it up guys!
