The Greek Army were armed with various foreign made rifles including the Mannlicher–Schönauer

The reason because Greeks didnt lose so many soldiers is because they were usually keeping defending formation and also the greek commanders really cared about their troops

And of course we don't forget that the Greek Army was the first that won the axis forces at WW2! (Greco-Italian War 1940)
