It is so gratifying to have you all praying for us here . Thank you so much, we appreciate your kindness ! I am safe in the Piedmont, but have property in the mountains, so it is affecting so many, with the evacuees without power or internet flooding our mountain areas needing services and resources . I - 40 is closed both sides of Asheville due to rockslides and it runs from the Atlantic coast out to California, so the back up will affect much of our country . Thank you so much for your care and concern ! It helps ease the sadness and sorrow . The Lord is merciful ! He has spared many riverside dwellers in Tennessee !

My daughter got caught in this trying to get to her mother-in-law’s in Asheville from where we are in TN. She was thankfully forced to turn around & come bk home bc nothing was open, no power, flooding, power lines down across roads, destroyed bridges, dams, & roads… she had her 3 week old baby with her & needed gas. I begged her not to go at all.

Have friends in Asheville for college and was there myself, thankfully we’ve been at a friends house safe and far from this shocking disaster.

Catastrophic, heartbreaking for all those affected. Stay safe, folks. I'm sure lots of animals suffered, this is the mountains. They've probably never seen rain like this.

Hard to keep seeing all this destruction from Hurricane Helene....it was horrible here in Tampa and we are still trying to process it all. My prayers and heart go out to all affected by it. It wreaked havoc all up from here to past N. Carolina. So sad!!

I'm in Florida and all day on the day of the hurricane NOT ONE WORD was said about what was coming to north and south carolina other than "there will be heavy rain" . There was a huge blob on radar of red and yellow bands moving up into those areas and I said to my family, gee they're tellling florida to watch out for torrential rain & flash flooding and not those states. Some did happen thru the southern part of florida but nothing like this where they were totally unprepared. I finally watched internet reports on the storm while I had power. Not TWC because they're no longer about the weather. Prayers being sent up to those who lost everything including their lives.
