Who is the angel of the Lord? Was the angel of the Lord a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ?

The book of Jude certainly makes it seem like the angel of the Lord is Jesus, he says our lord Jesus led them out of Egypt, and the Angel of the Lord is the one who went before Israel when they were leaving Egypt. And Angel just means one who brings a message or word, it doesn’t just mean cherub or seraph which is what most people think of when they hear the word Angel, they don’t realize that a human being, a seraph or whoever can bring a message word. And in John he calls Jesus the Word, ie the Message, or the Angel

Not only that but the Angel of the lord speaks as if He is God multiple times in the OT, even though he might not be sitting on a throne looking down but is walking around having basics conversations with people, whether in a glorified form or blending in as a man. Hagar says she saw God when the angel visited her, Jacob says he wrestled with god when he saw the angel, there was a couple who had a man visit them and they said they saw God and the husband was afraid they would die. The angel appears to Abram and Sarai and tells them I will give you child, as if he is God himself, he doesn’t say this is what he lord says, he speaks as if he is the lord, and many other times I can’t think off the top of my head. Yet, exodus 33 20 and John 1:18 make it seem like no one has ever seen God and lived, so how can this be? Is this a contradiction? I think this is why the trinity makes perfect sense

I don’t claim to understand the trinity in its entirety as Gods nature is truly a marvelous mystery, but it seems to me, YHWH the father is the being or manifestation of God outside the physical realm, we are unable to be in God the fathers presence in flesh and blood. He is too powerful. He sits on the throne in heaven and flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, being in God the fathers presence will kill you, he is too powerful

God the Son or the Angel of the Lord, seems to be Gods being or manifestation in the physical realm able to interact with creation, still God, but a separate being in a different realm. He has the authority of God the father from heaven on earth, this is how YHWH can rain down fire from YHWH on sodom and Gomorrah David says the lord said to my lord. This is how the lord “walks” through the Garden in Genesis, it’s God the son not god the father.

God the spirit seems to be everywhere, not confined to one body as a spirit is ethereal, but can take the form of one if he wants too. He also has the authority and power of God as he hovers over the waters and orders the cosmos in Genesis and in revelation the spirit of God is also in heaven next to to the father while the son approaches the throne.

So this is how God can be everywhere at once maybe? And God didn’t stop being God or come down from his throne when Jesus clothed himself in flesh, the Spirit is still everywhere and Father is still on the throne. This ain’t to say the other persons in the trinity can’t do what the others do such as the Son being omnipresent or the Spirit taking a form or the Father making himself manifest or interact with creation, it just seems in scripture to me, these are the roles they generally partake in when it comes to us as people

That is my understanding of the trinity but again I’m not claiming to be the final word on this matter.

Matthew 1:20, Matthew 1:24, Matthew 2:13, Matthew 28:2, Luke 2:9, Acts 5:19, Acts 8:26, Acts 12:7, Acts 12:23... 9 verses in the New Testament mentioning the angel of the Lord. As well as his angel being mentioned in Acts 12:11, Revelation 1:1, Revelation 22:6, and Revelation 22:16. AND in Acts 27:23, Paul says For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve...

Hi ! You need to remember the three persons received by Abraham (or should I say Abraham was invited haha). How many persons ? 3 ? So all three are Jesus-Christ ? No just one of them. The first one is The FATHER, the second one The Son and the last one The Holy Spirit aka the Angel of the Lord (because later just two angels went to Sodome and Gomorrha). But who is the angel then ? Agar in the desert, Moses in the bush, and...Daniel ! (and Ezekiel and Zakarhia). So for me, the Angel of the Lord is Gabriel aka the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth that came to say all truth (just as he baptised with a new name Jacob and talked to Mary and told her the name of her son). The angel of the lord is a title for Yahweh, who's lord of the Israelites. However, he's clearly not God/Christ himself, but like the title suggests, he's one of the Elohim, or the highest messenger/angel of God.
