New Rangers. Put yourselves mentally through his senario: what can you do to minimize a death incident? Think of ways to not get injured while out on patrol. Me? I never hike when I am sleepy or hungry or thristy.

How very sad. I hope when he collapsed, he was unconscious and remained so, without pain. It sounds like he had internal injuries and the bandage indicates a head injury so, perhaps, a brain bleed or swelling of the brain. 😢

The victim was a Ranger not a hiker, supposedly he was trained and had equipment to orienteer and a radio or phone to call for help. The fact that he was bandaged means that he also had a first aid kit with him. The video doesn't contain enough information such as did someone due an autopsy to determine if he died of the fall or something else?

Which Rocky Mountain National Park? The one in Canada or the one in the US? Canada doesn’t call it staff rangers but the US does. Not sure why he was by himself but a horrible way to die. Very tragic for his poor family. Rest In Peace! ❤

Mummy range is tough country. So high it’s hard to sleep. Glacier ice and snow fields all year. Lots of big cats

Why aren’t park rangers mandated to carry a emergency god locator?!! This is so sad and unnecessary if he could have simple use an gps er beacon! They should all be equipped with free Sat phones as they risk their life every single day to help humans and to ensure the park itself is being kept safe. So tragic and unnecessary. RIP
