This man died more than 5,000 years ago. Ötzi The Iceman | FOG OF HISTORY
Показать описание
On this channel I show you real people who lived on our planet many years ago. For fans of Anthropology and History. Today I'm going to tell you about....
He was named Ötzi The Iceman, and his mummy is the oldest discovered in Europe. He was found by two hikers who were hiking in the Alps in 1991.
At the time of his death, Ötzi was about 45 to 46 years old, 165 centimeters tall and weighing 50. Before he died, he ate bran, roots, fruit, and deer and chamois meat. His last meal was two hours before he died. His hair had elevated levels of copper and lead, which may indicate that he may have had something to do with copper production. He also had many tattoos found on his skin.
All of his hunting equipment was found near his body. Including a billet bow, a leather quiver with 14 arrows in it, a Copper Axe, a stone knife with a handle made of Ash.
Judging by the arrow fragment stuck in his shoulder, Ötzi was killed, how, and why, is unknown. And it's unlikely we'll ever know.
