It really warmed my heart to see that grandma on the barrier rocking out. My Oma lived through WW2 in Rotterdam. She loves watching Sabaton clips. It shows her that we haven't forgotten what that generation went through and that young people do have a connection to the past.

The story behind this song is frightening. In 1915 the 14 battalions of the German Army used a mixture of chlorine and bromine gas against the Russian soldiers garrisoned at Osowiec Fortress. Almost the entire garrison died, but 60-100 half-dead Russian soldiers coughing up blood and looking like zombies due to the effects of the gas attacked the 7, 000-8, 000 man German force. The German soldiers, terrified by the appearance of the Russians, who were coughing up blood and bits of their own lungs, as the hydrochloric acid formed by the mix of the chlorine gas and the moisture in their lungs had begun to dissolve their flesh. The Germans retreated, running so fast they were caught up in their own barbed wire traps. The five remaining Russian guns subsequently opened fire on the fleeing Germans. WAR IS HELL!
