I always like to call it one of the realist fake movies, because there is a lot of truth to it.

Arms dealer: so how many do you want?
Director: how many can you sell?
Arms dealer: damn, are you starting a war or something?
Director: no, it's for a movie
Arms dealer: say less

Nothing like a movie about arms dealers supporting real arms dealers

This is the exact moments where real life is weirder than movie.

Arm's dealer casually carrying the movie with its vast supply of goods.

same with the movie TENET
it was cheaper for them to crash a real Boeing 747 into a building than to pay for cgi

In movie: You have to sneakily contact arms dealer for small amount of weapons

Real life: "YO! 500 tank yeah? NATO? Yeah those guy chill, bye"

Lmao I wonder what the person who came up with this idea was like
"Ok guys, this may sound a little criminally suspicious, but here me out"

NATO: So you're telling me that you need 50 soviet tanks, 3000 AK-47s and a transport plane with weapons to shoot a movie?
Production crew: Yes
NATO: Completely understandable good luck with the movie

Imagine you’re waiting for an artillery gun on the field with low rations and you have to wait another week cause the cargo planes been rented out by Hollywood.

Normally ak's are sold in the usa as parts kits with cut up recievers, surely cutting them was FOR resale rather than to prevent it.

Imdb could be wrong but the filmmakers didnt cut up those aks or scrap them they actually resold them at a loss to the arms dealer that sold them the aks look it up

When you accidentally start filming a documentary instead of a movie

They didn’t buy AK’s, they actually bought VZ-58’s for the warehouse scene

Imagine being in a rush for filming because your props are gonna be sent to Libya to fight in a civil war😭

Imagine needing to tell NATO that you are just filming a movie

So if you are getting ready for an attack you just have to tell NATO that it's for a movie? Got it

"We paid (probably well over street value) to buy these guns from an arms dealer, and we're saving the world by destroying some of them."
Do they not understand that the arms dealer will take the profit from their deal and put it back into acquiring more arms, which will, in turn, facilitate the manufacturing of more arms as a whole?
