what I like about this show is how brilliant the storytelling was. In juvenile cases, people always tend to question the upbringing if it relates to the notion of the crime they did. But in this series, they showed the contrasting difference of Jamie’s school environment vs the environment at his home and also the perspectives of how Jamie interprets his Dad’s personality towards him vs his Dad’s own version of raising Jamie.

Happy to see this subject getting more attention...

Absolutely disgusted that people online have said things like "Where's the awareness shows for Muslim grooming gangs?" Or saying things like "I'm white and I won't have my kids thinking their their the problem." Just shows how racist they are and desperately trying to convince themselves they're the victims fighting for what's right. This show portrayed a very real issue we have as a society that does not have enough awareness in such a complex and tragic way. Don't take points away from a show because your issue that could be just as important or completely idiotic wasn't brought to awareness. Shameful

I thought I also saw defensive masks on Jamie's arms I chalked from Katie in Episode 1 when he's being interrogated

All I need to hear is one word rejection. That's the cause of everything

It doesn't resemble a knife. It resembles a rip in the wallpaper because it's a rip in the wallpaper. It's actually a very touching detail because pretty much every boy in Britain at that age has a rip in their wallpaper

She didn't cover Aurora's song, that was just the original song

Acting was phenomenal, especially the kid & Dad. But the message this drama tries to bring is only half cooked 👌

Here's some hidden details.

The real life murderer on whom this was based is Hassan Sentamu.

Hassan moved to the UK from Uganda with his mother when he was 3.

Hassan did not have a father in the house. His father remained in Uganda.

Hassan was in state care, as he was taken from his mother at her request at the age of 12.

Knife crime is not predominantly a white working class, nuclear family phenomenon.
