Scream 2 contains brilliant cameos and mind-blowing hidden details! How many did you know about?

SOMEONE'S TAKEN THEIR LOVE OF SEQUELS ONE STEP TOO FAR! Scream 2 is the 1997 follow up to the slasher that defined a generation. While Scream made a satire out of the genre, Scream 2 did the same, but for horror movie sequels.

While this one definitely relies less on horror movie references and easter eggs, it's still filled with interesting details, like the use of ancient Greek theatre, details from Scream that came back and connections to horror classics of past.

In this video I'll be going over everything you might have missed in Scream 2!

Just before Randy is killed, you hear the killer on the phone tell Randy, "You will never, ever get the girl." It's a call back to the classroom scene when Randy says, "I'd let the geek get the girl."

Killing off Randy was not needed. Still, fun sequel.

The irony of Sidney saying Tori Spelling playing her in a movie.

Im not sure if he mentions it, but when ghostface is attacking gill you can hear a woman’s voice when ghostface grunts meaning it’s Ms Loomis under the mask. On top of that Mickie is right handed and Ms Loomis is left handed. These small details are so interesting to me.

That’s actually Neve Campbell on the right of the Scream 2 poster. For some reason, they gave her blue eyes

Mickey being Ghostface was so random Mrs. Loomis seemed obvious cause she kept popping up trying to compete with Gale.

My favorite small tidbit of this movie is actually Dewey's Theme music we here when he first shows up, because it was actually not made for Scream 2, but was the theme in the movie Broken Arrow in '96. They used the song as a placeholder until they got around to making Dewey's theme but they liked it so much they kept it in and gave Hans Zimmer a composing credit for its use.

“How would the creators of Stab know the details unless they were there?”

Perhaps a subtle hint that Roman, my personal favorite Ghostface, was always involved?

Another thing you may have missed. When Randy is giving the rules for sequels to Dewey, he says two things and starts to say a third one, but never completes the thought. I always thought he was going to say, "If you want your sequel to turn into a franchise, never ever kill your recurring characters, " meaning him - Randy. But because he is cut short in the thought, Ghostface ends up cutting his life short in this film. This then breaks the sequel rules.

1:45 - that's definitely Neve Campbell on the right hand side of that poster!
I like how Sidney has brought the photograph of her and her mother with her to college (you can see it on the table to the left of her bed when she is woken up by the prank call in her first scene).

6:26 Matthew Lillard also plays Stab 8's chrome masked Ghostface in Scream 5.

I can’t watch the scene at the movies without thinking about Brenda watching Shakespeare in love in Scary movie 😂

I loved that Tori Spelling actually did this after the joke in the first movie. Back then I thought she just had some self distance and could make fun of herself, no I think the woman has no boundaries whatsoever…

I always admired how SCREAM is perfectly written and connected. It's funny but it makes u really scream

That is definitely Neve Campbell's face on the right side of the poster. Though neither Campbell nor Geller have blue eyes so I don't know what that's about?

Agamemnon is also about a mother getting revenge for the death of her child along with a male accomplice, just like Billy's mother. Although the play also has way more significance and themes that don't seem to fit about fathers and marital betrayal, but still!

I still don't how Sidney & Mrs. Loomis did not run into each other on campus.

2:02 I bet in universe Casey's parents were pissed that the first Stab film exploited their daughter's murder.

10:17 I think the "Remember me" part is more "Bet you didn't think you'd be hearing this voice again" as in the Ghostface voice.

0:34 - "And I'll be back when you guys start talking about something a little more Save by the Bellish."

0:46 - Welcome to things you missed. I am Zac Morris.

Whether coincidental or not, well CZ, well played.
