Macbook Air M1 Black screen, screen error

Screen display black screen, it's can adjust brightness but nothing on screen. Can connect to extend screen.

I fixed the problem. I clicked command + R + power button until it shut off. Then I pressed the same buttons until it powered and the Apple logo appears. This should take you to a reset menu. Once you are there you don’t have to reset, just click the Apple on the top left and restart your computer. It should restart and take you back to the regular profile sign in.

That's the reason why I am moving back from Apple products. Their products are so darn expensive but when they something goes wrong with them. They just tell you get a new one they will not fix it so you be out another 2, 000 dollars or more to get another laptop or phone. With Apple that's the reason why I'm switching back to other phones. Or computers

Ooh i fix it now, so anyone who has the same problem, try pressing the power button until your macbook turns off, then close it, wait a few minutes and open it. I tried this method and it worked. Good luck👍👍

In the same boat and no luck any of the suggestions. Soo many people having the same problem surely this is a defect with this gen laptop? Should they not recall them? Shouldnt be paying a fortune to fix a new £1400 laptop 😭

I think it's humidity or maybe because you don’t use your computer often. Another reason can be not unplugging the charger despite the Mac having 100% battery, that’s what happened with my Mac. Close your Mac and leave it for a day or more, then open it again, it worked with me. If you’re using it and suddenly the screen went black, close it and open right after.

Mine is the same model with the same issue for weeks. Literally no tricks worked. Contacted the support team, and they concluded that the display has to be changed. It was truely stupid of me to spend my savings on this MacBook 🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️🚶🏻‍♀️

Same issue before 6 months after update... tried all keyword pressing nothing worked. started to use external monitor. worked with external monitor for 6 months.. some day all of the sudden after update i saw the mac logo and the screen started to work... was happy and now again it is same after a month or 2. i feel that mac software is causing it wantedly so that people change the display.

how did you get this repaired out of warranty? this is a known manufacturer defect and Apple is quoting me just $700 (Canadian) to fix this
