"If you're lookin for power within the 1500 to 6500 rpm range...." That's the WHOLE RANGE!

If you buy a Summit racing manifold your supporting China, that's where there casted in a cheaper aluminum alloy. Put one beside an Edelbrock and you'll see the difference.

Hi chrisonfire420,
Well, not everybody has the same idea when it comes to “Streetable”. Generally speaking, as long as the manifold is not very tall (think Edelbrock Victor Jr) than yes, they can be streetable. The Edelbrock Torker II manifold is a low rise single plane intake that has decent street manners!

If the duel plane is a # EDL-2101 it has power from idle to 5, 500, you said from 1.500 to 6, 500 . you were thinking of EDL-7104.

thanks for the info!! however, there is no info anywhere indicating there is no vacuum port on the intake anywhere!

I always wondered if I put a one inch on a dual plane how it would act. They way I could drive on the street with the daul plane and when i went to the track i could easily put the one inch spacer on, assuming I had the hood clearance.

Don't the single plane give you more top end torque, power?

The solution to what to top it off with is the tried and trued Q JET.

it would be better to compare the two types of intakes on the same brand of engine.

At least go with intakes from the SAME engine ! A dual-plane small runner is used for low RPM street apps.A large runner dual-plane is for 1500-6500 RPM. An open(single-plane) is used with the loss of bottom end torque (high stall or stick apps.)I learned a lot in Malvern Pa. I miss ya Grump!

Is there a low profile intake that will fit under the hood for a stock 2V replacement?

Wanna get Edelbrock 75284 intake manifold for my vehicle. However $1149 bucks for the timing control module 91231 seems like a bit much for what it is. Now do you have to purchase this timing control module for a extra $1149 or is there another way around it? Thanks

Thanks. Very helpful.
When can I put a dual carb set up on a SBC? What do I have to do to the motor?
