HOW TO GET A JOB AS A TEEN (no experience needed!)

In this video, I talk about how to get a job as a teen. It is holiday season so plenty of companies are hiring aaaand you might need a little money to spend for gifts and stuff. Hopefully these tips were helpful!

-Play down the fact you are a student, -Dress the part (Dressy)
-Know why you want to work at a company
- Be on time (Early)
- Focus on what’s available in your schedule vs what’s not for you in interviews (similar to #1)
- Always say yes if you have transportation
- Always ask a few questions when they ask if you have any at the end of an interview. (3-5 questions)
-Be yourself and smile
-Apply during holiday seasons

You’ll know the interview is going well if they’re nodding, being verbal, have a longer interview because employers are not gonna waste your time
They will ask a lot of situational questions

This really made me think about how important it is to research the company’s history and their values. If you get asked about those in an interview but didn’t do your research... ya ain’t gettin that job!

I turn 16 around Christmas and my mom would always say “Holidays are the best time to apply so with me turning 16 around Christmas it would be easier to get a job” 😂 also thanks for the tips!

I'm not a teen, but I'm 22 years old and minimum wage jobs (retail and fast food) won't call me back -_-. I had an interview with Panda Express, did one with 2 shift leaders then another one with the Area Manager. Was gonna do a third one with his boss, but they never called back. Makes me feel kind of bad that someone my age is struggling to land a job

Where I live, 14 year olds can get jobs in some places, I’ve been trying to get one as my family and myself could use the money, and I want the experience while I’m young so I’m used to working when I’m older (if that makes sense)
