How To Get A Job As A Teen!! (Tips To Guarantee Getting Hired!)

How to get a job as a teen! I understand how hard it is to get hired in highschool and how desperate you can get to get hired, but look no further because in this video I will explain how to get hired as a teen !

It can be very difficult to get a job in highschool but thats why for todays video I am simplifying it and teaching you guys how to get a job as a teenager! Mot only that but I am also teaching you guys how to apply for a job as a teenager! In most states the minimum age requirement is 16 years old so today I will be teaching you guys how to get a job at 16! Another difficult topic is job interviews so you will also learn some job interview tips for teenagers!

I hope you guys find the help you guys need and hopefully I did a great job of teaching you guys how to get a job as a teenager!

Another tip for teens looking for places to work call and ask if they are hiring. If they say yes ask them where you should apply. If they say no thank them and tell then to have a nice day. Also most of the time they’ll ask for your name and number. If you applied wait about 2 days to call. Ask for the hiring manager and ask you need to give them any extra information or to wait for a call back. If its been some time since you last heard from them call them back and again ask for the hiring manager and let them know you are still interested in the job if they position is still available.

- Get as many references
- Put as much work experience as you can (volunteer)
- Apply everywhere
- Don't wait for a callback, bug them!

While it is legal in some states to ask for your age on the application, depending on the job and position (if it’s a retail job and if it’s a teenager who’s under 18, the employer does need to know as there are different employment laws doe minors...or they may ask for your DOB in order to run a background check). With that said, it’s very unlikely that you’ll be asked your age during the interview and it would be highly unusual for them to bring up your age, unless there’s a relevance like discussing your worker’s permit for minors. Employers need to tread very lightly when it comes to age as they don’t want to overstep the Age Discrimination Act of 1967.

PS - whatever you do, don’t ever lie about your age ‘cause employers will see this as lying on your application and that can be grounds for termination.

You figured out the method on getting a job I have never been there and down for a job that I applied for your work record really helped. Be on time for work never call in to work because you want to play the Xbox. A hard worker and a hard worker it will get you more jobs in the future they want someone it is worth the money they are paying them to do a job slackers don't keep jobs

No success with the girls, but more importantly, no success financially or academically. It seems everywhere I go, I find failure. No jobs want to hire me, I was dropped from highschool and I'm constantly reminded of my failures by my siblings. I don't have a car, and neither is there any public transportation available near me to get to where I need to. It's like the only thing I can honestly offer employers is my dignity and perseverance. I've never done anything illegal, but I move closer to that path every day. I'm really struggling right now guys.
