A renovation without second thoughts, reworking mistakes or completely messing up just isn’t a real renovation! Demolition is frustrating but you’re going to need intestinal fortitude now that it’s going back together. Remember, if you’ve ever taken on a project like this I guarantee you’ve been in tears at least once before you finished. It’s okay, we’re with you all the way! Give Nick our thanks for the excellent help, what a great friend.❤️

Painting the outside would not be on my priority list. Making the home liveable is the priority in my opinion. Great catch on the joist issue. Hats off to Nick! Carry on chaps.

Nick can rebuild an antique organ or an antique house. Ryan, you have a great teacher + I love both of your goofy senses of humor. You make work fun, and it’s fun for us to watch as well.

The way you set up the ad for the sponsor was very unique and enjoyable

Ryan you could do with investing in another decent ladder, save you straining to put the joists up 😊

Ryan, A second stepladder wouldn’t be a luxury.

Good solution! Thanks to Nick for overseeing Ryan’s build. Ryan you are very close to 80K subscribers, you have come a long way. 🙏❤️

Projects like this show that anything is possible. It’s sad in a way that the original space can’t be perfectly preserved. But c. 200 year old dirt and rotting beams just don’t cut it today…or any day, really. Not to mention those small rooms meant for warmth and insulation(?). The bigger, more spacious the rooms the better. And if they had our technology then, they’d have it the same way. Though, that’s not accounting for big families. And I’m learning so much about beam…ing. And that trial and error is just parts of the experience. And, you know, the friends you make along the way.

Also. I just sort of realized in this video that Ryan resembles Ben Affleck quite a bit, if we’re going to be honest. I can’t be the first to see this.

The amount of woodworking you have to do justifies the purchase of a table saw.

As usual Mr Wonderful to the rescue. Sitting here with my cup of tea ☕️ and enjoyed the video. Looking forward to the next one. You two are best comedy team together. Put the kettle on 😆

All I can say is it’s very fortunate Nick is on this build.

Ryan, I absolutely loved the Sponsor Ad with Billy sneaking around in the background of the Convent. Your comedy is brilliant!! The TV on the wood pile was so good! Always double check your order either before you leave the shop or at delivery - doesn't matter what you buy or where it is from. Everyone is Human and the guy who brought the wood might have been having a really bad day. We don't know what anyone is going through and you handled the wood discrepancy beautifully! You and Nick were most likely goofing around and didn't check so it took all three of you to get that order wrong ROFL.

Ryan, so glad Nick was there with his eagle eye to catch the discrepancy in the joist size. This was fun as usual. I love you guys.
Cheers

Great job, Ryan and Nick! It’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and every setback just means more future episodes for us to enjoy 😊
