Before you get angry in the comments section, we are not saying to stop using the deadlift entirely. We are just saying that you shouldn't just deadlift for a bigger back!

"These rows have put the most mass in my back out of any other exercise." - John Meadows with reference to the Meadows Row and the One Arm Barbell Row. Put these two exercises in your back workouts kings, and pay tribute to the Mountain Dog for creating them for us.

Let’s do 10/25s with Meadows rows in memory of this legend. Rest in peace Mr. Meadows . You led me to a brighter lifestyle and opened my vision towards bodybuilding.

EliteFTS's channel deserves so many more views. That being said, if you were to go through their subscriber list, you'd find some of the best bodybuilders, powerlifters, and strength coaches in the world. This is content for the real ones!

From my own experiences I believe strongly that the Deadlift is the absolute premier exercise for building a large imposing back on a man… That being said, you’d be foolish to only Deadlift and nothing else. The bar is already in front of you, may as well strip it down and Row a few sets, Hit a few pull ups on the way out and you’re set

Really appreciate this as a beginner I feel so fortunate to have people like you guys & John (Rest in Peace)

I'll make sure to remember action/function for hypertrophy vs strength & make the most out of my first program (John Meadows Baby Groot)

Another great video guys. The Mountaindog introduced me to your guys content and I’ve been hooked ever since. With him gone though Elite FTS is really all I watch besides one other channel for actual instructions and good info, so keep it up guys. I couldn’t think of a better way to honor him than helping people with solid advice and instruction like this video

Great techincal tips. I will be using more dumbell rows with the proper technique and I will try the supinated grip pull downs. I have confidence that these will work very well!

It would be awesome if you put a tribute video of John up. He's had such great content there at elitefts with Dave.

Good information no access to the cable machine on back day I start with dumball rows then into benchbar rows with supernated grip then on the end of bench bar rows end with deads all exercises pyramid from ten reps to three. I've felt most growth from doing the compound exercises at last

Only people saying deadlifts are all you need for big back are starting strength cultists

Thank you! Way too many people think deadlift is a back builder, and it's just not, at least not a good one.

A big strong back is a consequence of heavy deadlifting, not the reason you do it, the squat will also build up the traps and back due to isometric contraction

imagine being stuck as the exercise model for this entire series
