Grilled Tomato Bruschetta

This has been done before many many times, but it just never gets old. The best way to approach classics like this is ingredient driven. Make sure your tomatoes are ripe, good sourdough bread, and relatively decent mozzarella...making homemade mozzarella is preferred, but not necessary. I hope you enjoy this recipe with friends and family because that's what this is all about. Bon appetite!

Ingredients:
3-4 campari tomatoes or vine ripe
1 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 red onion
3- tbsp olive oil
bucatini mozzarella or whole mozzarella
1 tsp Italian seasoning
sliced fresh basil
salt and pepper to taste

BRU—SKET—TA is the proper Italian pronunciation for this lovely dish. My nephew's girlfriend, who also watches and loves your videos, is originally from Rome, Italy, born and raised. I said it wrong ONE time, and she quickly corrected me! You have to say it correctly. AND y'all are in the heart of the South so you're gonna have to UP the salt intake. We LOVE our salty, spicy fried food around here!
