I would have thought it was accidental except that it was actually in his suitcase which has padding and other things in it. Also the handle seemed bent up. If you stepped on something and it snapped it should not have been bent up in that way, it looked like it would take longer to bend in that angle. Also a Swedish woman journalist report deliberately smashed her body aggressively into this same player when he was having an interview with another reporter and she was banned from the Olympics by security, so I think there is too much to be coincidental, he was definitely targeted for sure. In the video, she pretended to be walking by staring down at equipment then she hesitated right near him, where he was talking during an interview, so she had to have heard him right next to her talking and then deliberately takes a big step to her right side and smashes into him carrying her heavy camera equipment. You can see his shocked face. She doesn’t apologize but just abruptly walks off. The fact that she was banned by the Olympics shows that there is real reason to believe that this was a deliberate targeting and not merely accidental.

I'm surprised someone still thinks it's unintentional. Buy a paddle and try yourself to see how much power it needs to break it.

Definitely deliberate, hard to break a racket like that even if stepped on hard. Take it as a lesson for future competitions, there are many people who are jealous of the Chinese.

I just saw the whole video analysis, it was clear, the photographer had his camera pointed down and was messing with something with his other hand. Hbent the paddle upwards whilst stepping on it. The photographer is filmed looking down at the suitcase when all the other photographers left as if to admire his handiwork and when he left there was a smirk on his face. It’s simply evil.

Hopefully he and his coach will learn from this intentional subotage. Going forward, the coach should be the only one entrusted with handling his racket to keep it safe after the match is over.

No matter if It's deliberate or accident, Wang was mature when he takes responsibility for his loss on himself, he didn't blame the broken racket. I hope to see him in the next Olympic when he get peak to seek his revenge.

It was a Chinese photographer. They decide to forgive him because it was a same nationality. Definitely would've been bigger issue if it was another country's reporter.

This is gibberish; at the beginning it's stated that a Korean / Japanese reporter did it deliberately and then later it's labeled an accident. Do better in making a coherent statement or account of what happened.
