This makes sense. I have always slept on my stomach for years and never snored. About 3 years ago, I began sleeping on my side, and now I snore every night, driving my girlfriend crazy. Time to switch back to my stomach. Thanks for this valuable tip! You probably just saved my relationship. 🙏

Major problems with some of these positions. Sometimes I lay on my stomach with my head turned to the side for a short time. HOWEVER, I only do that for a short time while I'm awake because it feels great but I've accidentally fallen asleep in this position only to wake up with a sore neck. Not good neck posture. Agreed that it helps with snoring though (as I've been told).
Secondly, laying on your back with your head propped up increases snoring for me and a couple people I've talked to. I think it collapses your airway more.

Some people are nasal snorers, their nose gets blocked due to sinus or allergy problems and thererfore have to breathe through their mouth

You cannot sleep in one position the whole night..

When the pillow is placed behind her upper skull area, as he demonstrates, and you can see all the wrinkling under the woman's chin and neck, this is closing the airway; not opening it up. Basic CPR teaches this, and this is not what I consider to be healthy for anyone to sleep in the position demonstrated here whether they snore or not. The airway needs to be open and not narrowed. Underlying causes for snoring may not be discovered by the person snoring because they think it's one of those things...that they snore. It's not! Therefore CT Scans to see if there are other problems contributing to snoring should be investigated. Polyps, blocked sinuses due to a build up of mucus that doesn't naturally drain away, and a deviated septum, are usually the main reason/s why people snore. Other causes are a lazy palate, where the tongue is vibrating when air is sucked in and out, either through the nose or mouth.

That explains I feel so much more rested if I sleep on my stomach...

My cousin got her doctor to reduce her breast. She begged and begged. A great thing. They found cancer got it all out. Reduced her breast, lost weight then no snoring and shes a side sleeper. But still trying to be a stomache sleeper. She got healthier. Lucky or a miracle

This may help with snoring but at what cost? The stomach position puts too much strain on the neck (being turned to the side) and low back. Those are the 2 reasons I quit sleeping on my stomach many years ago when I was in my 20’s.

Lying without pillows makes my mouth open wider and snores louder; lying on my stomach makes me snore louder than the earlier one and here saliva even drools; sleeping with folded pillow makes me snore louder again here I don’t open my mouth but when I wake up my throat use to be very dry. That means I have snored very hard. Moral of the story: nothing works … at least not for me

Surprised he didn’t mention pillow under the abdomen or small roll (like a hand towel) under the neck. These actually work until you move around. I never snored in my life and started at 47 and according to my family, it’s pretty loud. Even bought a bed that headrest raises if snoring detected.

Normally people who snore are old & who are unable to breathe properly through their nasal openings for various reasons - the postures suggested by you are impractical for them - further sleeping on either stomach with face turned on one side or on back with raised pillow cramps the spine & neck muscles - which not only makes difficult to sleep, it also may call for additional treatments later due to wrong postures - old people sleep intermittently often breaking in between unlike young who sleep uninterrupted (naturally) for longer periods in any position - 😊
