but after entering Y it is showing, the requested system device cannot be found

It gives me access denied.

Thanks for the video. What is the main difference between bootrec, sfc and chkdsk? I'm having a hard time understanding when one should be used over the other.

Attempted to upgrade Win7pro to Win10pro. At 98% it failed and reverted back to Win7. It works fine, but 10 minutes after it reboots, the bootcat.cache file is automatically replaced with a smaller file. Rebooting with the smaller file causes BSOD. Replace smaller file with original larger file and Win7pro boots fine again. Attempt solution: deleted bootcat.cache and reboot for auto repair, that was unsuccessful. Suggestions?

After all the bootrec procedures (a few times getting different results)- I thought it was finally fixed. This morning...back to square one; boots & holds after maybe 20-30 attempts. Windows cannot repair. Doing “sfc /scannow” again in safe mode. Should I try all bootrecs again after this?
