Making a 105 Pound (120 Pounds at 30”) Turkish Inspired PVC Pipe Bow - No Fiberglass - Shaping PVC

Показать описание
Here’s part one of the 100 Pound Turkish style bow build. This one uses a 1” Schedule 40 PVC pipe cut down to 47” and the finished bow draws 105# @ 28” and 120# @ 30”. In this video we’ll be flattening the limbs, shaping the tips, handle, and recurves, and string the bow with Paracord. We’ll also be doing the first weigh-in of this bow. Next time we’ll finish the bow by applying car wrap vinyl and a vinyl handle wrap. Thanks for watching and enjoy!

Here are some of my books on Amazon. Thanks for the support!

Hi if there’s one person that can push the limits of a pvc warbow, it’s you. Waiting till the day you make a 200 pvc handbow ;)

I can't wait to build one of these!
When I do a bow, I trace the curve of the 1st limb onto paper and match the second limb to the tracing. I have had really good success 1st time tillering that way.

Glad you're making videos again! Been watching and bought one of your books years ago. Unfortunately it got lost. That bow is a beast, can't wait to see you fire it!

That black pipe looks so good! That beast looks more like a crossbow prod than a bow! Thanks for filming for us, Nick. It's good to see your work here. Keep 'em coming :)

I can't wait until you upgrade to making a speed loader for your pvc bows.. I watched the sling shot channel go from sling shots to semi auto weapons 🤣

Awesome explanation, I love the "make sure yours looks equal to mine" checkpoints, and awesome results.. truly experienced and willing to teach others.

Thanks

I've never laughed that loud before watching you pull that bow. I could feel my bones creaking as you did that. I can't wait for your videos on building PVC exercise equipment. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise. Amazing channel.

I didn't think a PVC bow would be able to be this strong, that is insane. Such a cool project, well done!

I think I'd prefer a Yumi or English warbow for something with that kind of pull.
But. Dang. Cool cool. Cool cool cool.
Where do you find furniture grade pvc? I noticed you've been using it in your videos as of late.
