Start learning with people who speak or have ability to speak from “boring teacher book like” to “just hanging out and talking jargon like regular people “. The bridge between the two is huge from a listening and calculating a response perspective. And read a lot. Read news articles where they quote people. It may not help during the conversation but you’ll learn bits when you’re just sitting around chilling
