Day one of asking Lisa to go back and try one of her beginning spice challenges to see if her spice tolerance has increased.

Love, love, love marrow. Boiling looks interesting. I've only had it roasted. It's like beef butter. Amazingly delicious.

My kids and wife aren’t adventurous eaters so I do t get to eat stuff like this very often but when I do I’m in heaven. Your videos help scratch that itch between meals

This takes me back almost 50 years to when my grandmother would make bone soups and stews. She would use barley, celery, parsnips, carrots, and I can't remember everything else, but it was so good.
I really miss both of my grandmothers, and their cooking. My grandfathers, too, but they didn't cook.
Unless infrequent bbq's is considered cooking.

I had a couple Vietnamese friends in high school. One day they invited me over and the Vietnamese parents made Pho. I was blown away by how delicious it was. To this day, this happened 7 years ago, I'm still trying to find a bowl of Pho that tastes just as good in Chicago... (It was boarding school in Wisconsin so we all can't get together anymore) :(

I would absolutely love to try this someday. My parents were in the marines and were stationed in Japan when they met, and over there they had beef bone marrow and marrow broths very often. They love love loved it and agreed the marrow was the best part and was basically dessert to them it was so good. It’s probably on the top of my food bucket list aside from lengua tacos:P

When I was little, I was skeptical when my dad said bone marrow is delicious, and then one day I just sucked it up and tried it, now it is one of my favorite foods.
Edit: never got this much likes before, thank you so much!

There’s a famous Italian dish called ossobuco and it’s all about beef bone marrow. If the Italians treat it as a delicacy, you won’t get wrong to give it a try. I tried it when I was in Milan - it’s so delicious that I still remember how good it is after so many years.

Awesome! 2 things: I like soaking the bones in a heavy salt water brine for a few hours (or over night) and I like to skim the stuff that floats to the top while they are boiling. The brine pulls out any blood and skimming the top helps filter off some of the parts that make the soup cloudy/not as smooth. Taste is subjective here of course! Also, broiling or cooking the marrow in the oven is amazing
