No one wants to clean the bathroom, but we all enjoy and appreciate it when the bathroom is clean. It may be surprising, but there are many ways you can cut the time you spend cleaning and have a cleaner bathroom. You don't have to rush out and buy fancy products or commercial cleaners.
All you need are these 6 simple cleaning tips to keep your bathroom cleaner without the use of harsh chemicals. In no time at all and at very little added cost, your bathroom will be fresh and sparkling.

1.Clean the tank
How often do you open the tank of your toilet and peak inside?
if you take a look at the depth it’s a breeding ground for hard water stains, mold, mildew and bacteria. So whenever you start your toilet cleaning endeavors, start with the water tank to help keep your toilet bowl cleaner between uses. Pour 1 cup of vinegar into the tank. Allow to sit while you clean. Then flush 2-3 times to rinse out the tank.

2.Make This Natural Toilet Cleaner
In a glass bowl, mix together ½ cup Baking Soda, 10-15 drops of lemon essential oil and 1 cup of vinegar. Vinegar react with the baking soda for a great foaming action in your bowl. Pour the mixture into your toilet bowl and give the bowl a good scrub with your toilet brush. You’ll love the smell of lemon while doing the dirty job which makes cleaning toilets much more bearable.

3.Use vinegar to remove hard water stains
Hard water leaves a visible build up around the handles of your bathroom taps that is almost impossible to remove. Something as simple as using pure vinegar would remove the unsightly buildup from your bathroom faucets. Simply soak paper towels in vinegar and wrap them around the problem areas for 10 minutes before rinsing with water.

4.Vacuum the exhaust fan
Unless you look up, you probably don't remember to clean your bathroom exhaust fan very often. Dust can build up and prevent it from working well. All you need to do is give it a quick vacuum. If it's been a while between cleanings, you may need to give the cover a quick scrub under running water to get it looking like new again.

5.Whiten your grout
You don't need bleach or other harsh chemicals to return your grout to a sparkling white. All you need to clean grout is baking soda, vinegar and a small scrub brush or toothbrush. The cleaners are safe enough, you can even recruit your children to help.

6.Clean the tub with no scrubbing
Getting down on your hands and knees to scrub the tub is a huge task. Soap scum, hard water deposits, rust stains are not easy to deal with you no longer have to scrub. simply uses a combination of cleaning vinegar and Dawn dish soap to clean your tub without scrubbing. Heat the vinegar in the microwave for 1 minute. Pour both ingredients into a plastic spray bottle and spray evenly over the tub. In 30 minutes to 1 hour, come back and use a cleaning rag to wipe away all the grime and you’ll be amazed with the results.

When I run white vinegar through the coffee pot to clean it, I then take that vinegar and pour it into the toilet tank. (Flush first) That way you get two uses out of it instead of one.

For tub/shower: equal parts vinegar and blue Dawn dishsoap (you can add water to make it less thick), heat nice and warm in microwave, spray on tub/shower with spray bottle. Let sit for 30-60 minutes. Rinse, scrub lightly with a clean cloth, rinse again. I've done it on plastic, ceramic tub, ceramic tile....works great with minimal effort.

That was some great cleaning tips. I've been using all of these products for cleaning for many years. They work just like your video says. GREAT! If you shop around places like "Big Lots" are cheaper on vinegar about $0.50 gl. Vinegar is also your laundrys best friend. Thanks c. mason

Thanks for this video🌟 We are moving into a new apartment, which is supposed to be existing. When the agent opened the door, the previous tenant hasn't been their for 3 weeks and have been smoking😱 All windows were closed for the entire time. So glad for people that can assist with these kind of knowledge🌸

I use baking soda to brighten and soften my clothes too. I also use vinegar and baking soda as a main laundry detergent when I've run out of detergent. Works very well and gets rid of odours.

I'm glad I don't have to deal with cleaning toilets, bathrooms, mowing the lawn and so on, for the next 11 years. I have five unruly teens living in my house (5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms) they all often get into trouble (fights, lying, disobedience etc.) and get to do all of these things; it builds character.

Most of the talk here is about the vinegar, but baking powder and bicarbonate of soda on their own are great cleaners. Either one works well if you've got something badly burned onto a saucepan or frying pan. Put a tiny amount of water in the pan and then sprinkle on the powder and let it sit. The dirtier it gets in colour, the more it's reacted to the burned material. After a short while, you can just wipe the burned stuff off easily – no scrubbing.

If the pan is just blackened, but with nothing cooked on, vinegar is better. It dissolves the blackening and leaves the pan like new.

The cleaning vinegar and blue dawn dish detergent does work. I've used this several times and a sparkling clean shower is the end result for me every time. I use the smallest bottle of Dawn per 1 c. to 1-1/2 c. vinegar.

Huge thank you for this video! I’m nesting and I needed a real solution to clean the toilet bowl. It always seemed to get dirty so fast but now I know why. I loved that I didn’t even have to drive to the store to buy products. I can already tell a difference!! Definitely saving this video, thank you!!

I recently started putting a half cup of white vinegar in the dishwasher. Put the cup upright on the top rack with the vinegar in it. My dishes and especially glasses come sparkle clean. I dont buy chemical finish rinses for the dishes any more. Cheaper, works better and better for environment.

Use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda on grout. DO NOT use vinegar. Grout is composed of cementitious mortar, which can be dissolved by acidic cleaners such as vinegar.

There are multiple ways to use vinegar. I use vinegar in the rinse cycle when washing clothes - it cuts the soap residue on clothes, to prevent your whites from turning gray from soap buildup. Once clothes are dry, there won't be a lingering vinegar smell.

Vinegar is also a fairly potent weed killer... just as good as Roundup. I use it between my patio pavers all the time.

I recently used Vinegar & Baking Soda to clean the drains in my bathroom, sink & shower, and now they both work wonderfully! I had to do it a few times, finally pouring hot water down each drain, but it did work.

I normally love cleaning with bleach products but I’m currently pregnant and the smell makes nauseous. The results I had with the vinegar in my tank and the tub cleaner have me forever converted!!!

White vinegar is good for everything, in the house, mold, mildew, tub, glass, you name it, it's great, apple cider, or apple 2 cups in your tub and soak, good for body ordor, under-arms, soak your feets, etc. etc.

It's all the techniques my grandma used but we've forgotten. Thanks for reminding me there's an alternative to chemicals
