My favorite life hacks, home hacks and cleaning uses for distilled white vinegar! Recipes all below!

🌟 DEODORIZE: the aceatic acid molecules in vinegar bond with smelly, volatile compounds in the air, neutralizing them. As the vinegar evaporates, it takes those neutralized molecules with it, leaving behind no scent at all. Simmer vinegar for an hour or leave a bowl in the room . Similarly, white vinegar can deodorize your entire house combine a teaspoon of vinegar with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle then lightly mist the air (you can also stir in a few drops of essential oils)
🌟 SOFTEN TOWELS: soften your towels by using one cup of white vinegar about every six weeks; this will remove the soapy residue that makes towels feel rough, bringing back softness while restoring them to full absorbency. It also kills the bacteria
🌟 SMELLY CLOTHES. Really smelly- Soak in vinegar then wash. Add one cup to cold water and soak workout clothes for 15 to 30 minutes. Then wash as normal.
A cup or two of vinegar in the washing machine with regular amount of laundry detergent removes the sweat smell from clothing
🌟 Killing weeds: Mix one gallon of vinegar, one cup salt, and 1/4 cup Dawn dish detergent into a garden sprayer for a natural weed killer.
🌟 Coffeepot: fill the reservoir with white vinegar and run it through a brewing cycle. Rinse thoroughly by brewing two cycles with water before using
🌟 Clean fruit. Use a small amount of vinegar (1 tablespoon per quart) in the water you use to soak fruits and vegetables in. Then rinse.
🌟 Cutting boards: Use white vinegar to disinfect cutting boards, especially those made of wood. Spray and let sit
Windows: Clean windows with a cloth dipped in a solution of one part white vinegar and 10 parts warm water.
🌟 CLEAN MICROWAVE: 1 cup of vinegar & water. Microwave for 5 minutes. Allow to stand for another 5 minutes. Wipe clean with a sponge. Virtually
🌟 Bug repellent: You can fill a spray bottle with 1 part vinegar to 1 part water and spray the cracks and crevices around your house then add 16-18 drops of Essential Oil Peppermint
🌟 Hard water stains. Soak a paper towel in full-strength white vinegar, then drape over the buildup. Leave for about an hour, then scrub scum away.
🌟 Garbage disposal: Drop in 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain. Pour in 1 cup of vinegar, cover the drain with a plug and let sit for 10 minutes – you will hear fizzing. Rinse with more hot water
🌟 Unclog drains: I use vinegar to open clogged drains ,pour a couple of tablespoons of baking soda on top of your drain, pour 1 to 2 cups of boiling vinegar onto this, it will fizz and bubble, keep on until all the baking soda is gone, let sit for about 10 minutes, then pour very hot water down the drain, this works great, safe on septic tanks.
🌟 Bath toys: Wash bacteria and mildew from bath toys by giving them a bath of their own: Fill a bucket or large bowl with warm water, adding 1/2 cup white vinegar per gallon of water. Soak toys for 10 minutes, then rub gently with a sponge and allow to dry. The acetic acid in vinegar cuts through dirt buildup and works as a natural disinfectant.

🌟 When NOT to use vinegar:
Do not use vinegar on granite or marble countertops.
Avoid using vinegar where there is unsealed grout.
Do not use vinegar on wood surfaces or hardwood floors
Never use vinegar on your cell phone or computer screen!

If you have dandruff or an itchy scalp, put a small amount in a spray bottle and fill the rest with water, and then spray it on your hair after you shampoo, let it sit while you finish showering and then rinse it out. It balances the natural PH of your scalp. It doesn't leave a lingering smell. I learned this from a beautician and it really works for me.

😍 Great video Brittney! One other tip I came across years ago is every 6 or so months, I run vinegar through my iron and it gets rid of all the build up from the "steam options". The coffeemaker cleaner is probably my all time favorite vinegar hack! Again, thanks for a fantastic video.

🥰 Also apple cider vinegar is the VERY best thing to use for a sunburn! Even though I try to always use sunblock because I’m susceptible to sun poisoning, occasionally I still get to much sun. If that happens I dab on or pour on some ACV and repeat if necessary. It works better than aloe and can even keep you from peeling

The simmering vinegar is great to rid your house of fish odor after cooking. I walk around with the vinegar steaming ( be careful) from the pot. The family and the smells leave the room.. for a busy mom that’s a win lol😂

After shampooing your hair, rinse out the shampoo, then pour about a cup (amount of hair determines how much you need) of white vinegar over your scalp & hair. Give it 20-30 seconds then rinse. Removes old product so hair is shiny & actually clean. I think it also helps with flaky scalp. Do this at least every couple of weeks to prevent buildup.
When a teen with waist length hair, I used vinegar nearly every single time I shampooed. You can do conditioner after, if your hair needs it - you will just be working on a clean slate.
Absolutely no odor once dry.

Washing makeup brushes and sponges is another unexpectedly good one. Using diluted vinegar, warm water and gentle soap is a great way to get really caked in makeup out.

Emoji was hidden by next video suggestions but I caught it in the comments! 🥰 I have used white vinager for most cleaning jobs. My favorite that I did yesterday was unclog the kitchen drain and then I followed up in the bathroom with sink, tub and toilet! 😊

Hi Brittany! Great tips! I use vinegar mostly by itself to do my cleaning. Also add a small amount to your dish water that's if you wash dishes by hand. They turn out sparkling clean! 🥰

I wish I could yell from the mountain tops that I tried everything from over the counter and from my dermatologist to cure my fungal issues with my toes and toenails. At best things would get better for a little while but always returned. Organic vinegar cured all of my toenail and toe issues! It was amazing!! I wish everyone knew this!! Thanks Brittany for another great video, sister! 🙏💕

I have used this for years and it truly is amazing. A large jug of white vinegar is always in my cleaning closet. You are right, so many uses. I run it through my washer and dishwasher each month also. Great with lemon juice and baking soda for cleaning grout.🥰

I love using it in my microwave, dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Also for hard water on my shower head. It’s so easy and cheap. Definitely trying it on my towels this weekend.

Another really good use for the vinegar is if you add a little vinegar into a spray bottle and spray your yard it will stop animals from going To the bathroom in it, especially dogs. I do not have any animals but my neighbors do and they let their dogs come over and go to the bathroom on the edge of my yard and don't bother to clean it up so I started spraying my yard with vinegar and the dogs don't like the smell of it so they Steer clear of it now. It does kill your grass if you repeatedly spray it but I sprayed it for about a month straight couple times a week and yeah my yard started to look A little dead but now it's better and no animals Go to the bathroom in my yard. Dead grass, for a few months, Is better then stepping in poop all the time because people are rude and don't clean up after their animals.

🥰 My mom used vinegar and taught me the hack of filling a baggie with it and putting it over your shower head with a rubber band to sit overnight. Also love it for towels and sink drains (with the baking soda).

I love vinegar!!! I use it for everything! My plumber advised me NOT to use baking soda and vinegar to try to unclog my drains, though. He said it causes the clogs to move down the line and harden, making the clogging problem worse. Just vinegar and hot water would help, but the baking soda will harden in your drains.
