I think that a star wars galaxy without the republic and rather a collection of powerful empires would be more interesting.

Well as far as the Kaleesh go, the Huuk started the war first, and when they began to lose they went crying to the republic. The republic then did send a force to blockade but they also sent a Jedi task force to aid the Huuk, hence why Grievous had such a hatred for the Jedi. Regardless, great video as always 👍🏼

Would the modern version of the jedi even exist without the republic? I mean they used its assets to find new younglings and get resources so would there just be more force religion groups everywhere mainly contained too a single planet and just one or two species on said planet.

Pretty solid overview of things. I think youd see a lot of different centers of power where notable species in the star wars galaxy make it off their homeworlds and form their own interstellar nations that compete and fight with each other. The republics dominance was in part due to a bit of luck and clever planning with the establishment of the core worlds through sleeper vessels and then expanded outward as a united force.

I actually think the galaxy would be a better place. I prefer planets deciding their own fates and if they conquer or exterminate inferior species than go ahead. I always believed in the right of strength so I would like this period.
