Therefore the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. 25But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.
Galatians 3:24-25

Dear Moriel Ministries, I hope you don't mind me commenting (I see there are no other comments!). I listen to Jacob Prasch a great deal and am currently reading his books. I have great respect for Moriel Ministries. I am really seeking the Lord about this issue and I lack people to discuss this with, so I hope you don't mind me putting my toe in the water.

If one remains "under the Law", I see this as meaning that one remains "under the (condemnation) of the Law" because one does not have the atoning sacrifice of Christ's blood over one's sins when one breaks the Law. Conversely, if one does indeed have Christ's atoning blood over one's sins, one is "free from the (condemnation) of the Law", because one can repent and be forgiven when one breaks the Law because of Christ's atoning sacrifice. In this way, "Christ is the end of the (condemnation) of the Law", because one is not under condemnation of the law when one is in Christ (Rom 8:1). I believe that, once saved by faith in Christ's blood, we become indwelt by the Holy Spirit and we develop a strong desire to keep God's commandments, as God explains in Jer 31: 33, declaring that He will "put my Law in their minds and write it on their hearts."

However, I do understand that the Mosaic Law is transformed under the New Covenant to become the Law of Christ (Gal 6:2). I believe this because a) The Mosaic sacrificial system for transgression and iniquity under the New Covenant becomes obsolete; b) Jesus raises the bar of the Mosaic moral Law so that simply keeping the letter of the Law is not what God meant (eg, Jesus's Olivet discourse); b) Rather than demand recompense via the letter of the Mosaic Law, we are to repay our offenders with the same mercy that we have received in Christ. However, that is not to say that we can be lawless with no eternal or social consequence (Rom 6:1-2). Paul states that Christian obedience leads to righteousness (Rom 6: 15-16); not that we are saved by that righteousness, but that once saved we are all called to walk as closely to God as possible and keep his commandments, and where there is sin and transgression, these will be forgiven through Christ's atonement in the presence of true repentance.

I am a gentile saved by grace, but I love to honour the Sabbath because God sanctified the seventh day in Gen 2:2-3. For me it is a creation ordinance and honours God. But if I do not honour the Sabbath, I am still saved (I am not a 7th Day Adventist or a legalist). I do see great significance in the LORD's feasts in that they reveal the storyline of redemption, in particular celebrating Christ in the Passover. The autumn feasts have yet to be fulfilled and this is very exciting, particularly the Feast of Tabernacles at the commencement of the millennial reign of Christ (Zech 14:16-20). I also see great significance in Isa 66:23 that "all flesh" (not only Jews) come to worship Christ "from Sabbath to Sabbath and from new moon to new moon." From this I understand that the LORD will maintain (or re-institute) his Biblical calendar (not the pagan Gregorian or false Rabbinic one). I take the view that the LORD's Feasts are still meaningful in the New Covenant because, in addition to symbolising our present salvation, they also foreshadow our future final redemption in that they extend beyond the crucifixion of Christ to His second coming and establishment of His millennial reign and indeed the wedding supper of the Lamb. And for this reason, I do not see the problem in commemorating them symbolically with this in mind, because they tell out the full story and chronology of our redemption. But I am willing to be taught further on this and I would welcome any deeper teaching. Many thanks.

What is necessary for you to know that in this comfort you may live and die in this comfort?”
Three Things. First the greatness of my sin and misery, second how I am redeemed from all my sins and misery, and third how I am to be thankful to God for such redemption.

Joh 14:21 WEB One who has my commandments and keeps them, that person is one who loves me. One who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will reveal myself to him.”
Sabbath was instituted before Moses, and it is a shadow of what is to come:
Heb 4:9-11 WEB 9 There remains therefore a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered into his rest has himself also rested from his works, as God did from his. 11 Let’s therefore give diligence to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience.

This has not been fulfilled yet:
1Co 15:24 WEB Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father, when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

I’m so happy to see this. Especially coming from a Jewish man. The Hebrew roots people that say obedience is keeping the mosaics law as closely as possible is absolutely insane. But some of their arguments are seemingly strong. “If you love me. Keep my commandments” well hard to argue with that. But that becomes a slippery slope. “Jesus did it. So we should” well. That’s also a good point. But again. How far can that be walked out? Are we gunna die in a cross for others? I mean where is the line drawn? And for gentiles. Who grew up gentiles, and don’t fully speak or understand Hebrew. They just know what words and stuff they’ve learned online or in books to then tell Jewish people who speak and understand the langue as one of their own that they’re wrong and don’t understand the Hebrew correctly is absolutely insane.
