I bought a new car last week. I cut out a piece of metal from an inconspicuous place and sent it off to a laboratory to have the metal dated, to see how old the car is. Do you see anything wrong with what I did?

I've always assumed all animals just ate plants prior to the fall. I see nothing in scripture that suggests corpses/decay, bloodshed, or suffering existed at any level prior to the fall. The laws we know today didn't necessarily apply pre-fall, for instance Adam and Eve were immortal. And the moon came from God creating it with a word on day 4, not from an asteroid. Each day in the Genesis account was a 24 hour day. All that was made was made in 6 days, then a day of rest for a total of 7 days, which if for no other reason, this was God giving us the 7 day week which mankind has used since the very beginning. Macro evolution is a lie and there is zero, I repeat zero evidence that confirms it has ever occurred - meaning there has never been a jump from one kind to another. One point of distinction though, God made everything fully mature, meaning trees full-size, man and animals as adults, flowers already in bloom, etc. Thus the natural world would have already appeared to be old even when it was only a second old, trees would already have rings, rock would already have layers, etc. Therefore, you can't go by the natural world to date the Earth, rather you have to use the genealogies given in Genesis. When you do the math, you find about 6, 000 years have past since the fall, roughly 2, 000 years from Adam to Moses, 2, 000 years from Moses to Jesus, and 2, 000 years from Jesus to now...

Given that no scholar takes the Patriarchal era books(Genesis thru Judges) of the OT as anything other than apocryphal, it's a moot issue. Theological "prehistory" is just cultural tribal fokelore.

Animal death before the fall of human beings?? What do we do with that?? We don't do anything with it except dismiss it as a false idea. Paul took care of this issue in Romans 5. There was no death before the fall ... _none at all._ Don't you believe God's Word? Who are you people?

Who cares what St Augustine's views were? He's no paleontologist or paleoanthropologist. His views are primitively ahistorical and apocryphal.
