No car comes into Scotty's property without the A/C working properly.

Just got a “Product Notice” today (July 12 2021) from Honda regarding 2012-2021 Civics. Honda has extended the warranty on AC systems for 10 years due to possible AC leaks from improper manufacturing.

I remember as a kid in the 80s growing up none of our cars had A/C, but we never had japanese cars.

Nice, just in time Scotty. My wife 2013 Honda Fit is doing exactly the same. Expansion valve sticking!. I will take it to the Honda dealer and have it fix, the car has only 50K miles and plan on keeping. THANK YOU,

Great advice. He solved my ac problems. His other video explains the trouble shooting better.

I went to a dealership & they said I needed a new compressor & they were going to charge me over $1000 for air conditioner repairs. I went to a local mechanic & they fixed my Toyota for $150! It didn’t need a compressor. My grandson would say...do you still have a hot car😂

Thank you very much for this video! I have had the same problem with my F250 with the A/C working and not working for 4 to 5 years now. Usually is runs for approx 10 minutes at a time. Occasionally the A/C works for 1 to 2 hours when on the road.

I'm shocked that Scotty didn't consider the behavior described by the customer -- which implicated the expansion valve as the likely culprit -- until after he needlessly replaced the refrigerant.

Hey own the same Gen honda...did same exact thing....and it wasn't expansion valve....all I did was pull the passenger side wheel off, remove small inner wheel well plastic...remove the ac compressor pulley..and remove a flat washer...then put it all back together..somehow that washer was not allowing the clutch to engage when it gets worn. Removing the washer fixed mine.
