I've got the exact 2012 Camry, had it since 2013. I do most of the work on it myself & I'm at 340k miles and still running like new

Bought a 2012 SE at 100k miles. Runs like new. Almost at 140k now. No issues, great daily. Just regular maintenance

Love my 2012 Camry. Bought used 3 years ago with 89, 000 miles, now almost 190, 000 miles. It hasn’t given me any problems, and runs great.

I was an Ex-Technician at a Toyota Dealership for 5 yrs and this model was by far my favorite in terms in reliability and cost. Majority of the time these Camrys don't need much done to them besides normal maintenance.

For clarification - this 2.5 with the 6-speed continued past the 2012 model until the 2017 model. 2018 and newer use the new dynamic force 2.5 and 8-speed transmission

I’ve had a 2012 Camry since 2012. Honestly been the best car I’ve ever owned. Only had to replace a brake light switch once but other than that no issues whatsoever!

The 2AR absolutely WILL burn buckets of oil if you take Toyotas advice and change the oil every 10K instead of every 5K. The piston rings get gummed up, scores and damages the cylinder walls, and BOOM, burning buckets and buckets of oil. They see it every single day at the Toyota dealership. Those who DO change the oil every 5K or 6 months (and yes time matters just as much as mileage) fair much much better. But this engine CAN absolutely be an oil chugger if you don’t look after it.

Glad to hear it Scotty! That's my current daily driver. Wife bought it brand new when she was pregnant and we drove our son home in it when he was born. Hopefully he will get to drive it one day himself.

I am still driving my 1996 Toyota Avalon with a 200 hp V6 with over 200 thousand trouble free miles on it. NO car payments and I love it! Because sometimes older is better. LOL

I have a red 2010 SE with that same engine... 9 years, almost 80, 000 miles later, other than normal wear and tear, and routine maintenance, this car has been 100% reliable for us. It has never stranded us or failed to start. It is the best vehicle in my all-Toyota fleet...
