I do not feel sorry for car dealers AT ALL.

No one should buy new cars at jacked-up MSRPs. People are still crazy for buying them.

Last summer I was shopping for a vehicle. Every dealer had vehicles marked up with junk fees and non-negotiable add on packages and I told them they could keep them. Fast forward 1 year and they can't sell them fast enough. Serves the greedy bastards right.

When a dealer takes a used $15, 600.00 on line price to nearly 23$ grand to gain massive profit is terrible

My advice is to bite the bullet, buy a brand new Japanese made car, and then KEEP IT FOREVER!!! In the long run, you will SAVE TONS OF MONEY!!!

Prices will NOT plummet...as long as idiots pay these crazy prices.

Several major car companies stopped selling affordable sedans, claiming that nobody is buying them. Now they are selling only crossovers, SUVs, and trucks. And now no one is buying them, especially EVs. I believe the real reason for stopping making sedans was not that nobody was buying them, but that they a created a huge price contrast with their expensive SUVs and trucks. In 2000, one could buy a used Ford Escort with 120K miles for around $1250. Even in 2017, many dealers sold new Toyota Camrys for less than $19000. Selling on the same dealer lot two similarly sized new cars, one for 20K and one for 60K, looks a little embarassing to dealers.

Looks like the "chateaubriand days" of "Big Cars, Big Profits" are coming to a crushing end"...thank goodness.

I have a 2019 civic hatchback I leased and bought out during the car shortage. It was $22k in 2019 and worth about $20k now. Great deal and have had no issues. Retaining its value wonderfully.

I would literally walk or ride a bicycle before I’d pay these crazy inflated prices. These add ons are a rip off. Paint sealant, scotchguard, stripes, blah blah blah. Some dealers charging $5k for an extended warranty. They can shove it.

Really surprised that Mazda wasn't on the list of best buys. They're great cars!

In my region of Canada, I was looking at the Corolla Cross hybrid and the RAV4 hybrid. But the Corolla Cross was an 8 month wait with the RAV4 being 12 months. I then looked at the CRV hybrid which was in dealer stock but the most expensive. Hyundai Tucson hybrid was better priced with a 1 month wait and is what I now have - no regrets, especially after trading in my Ioniq 5 EV.

Honda civic, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry on the top 10 list. I bet Ford and Chevy are regretting cutting the Fusion, Taurus, Malibu, Impala, Cruze, etc.

I have a new Camry. I have talked to others in S. California that have them. There are scattered dealerships that are discounting them despite the short supply. I managed almost $2500 off MSRP. Keep looking if someone is marking them up

I see a trend here. Toyota and Honda dominate sales. Difficult to get a used one with low mileage. I ended buying a used Elantra, a poor man's Civic. 😮

To summ up this entire channel:

Buy Japanese cars (except nissan, mitsubishi & suzuki)
Because they're reliable

If you want luxury, buy acura or lexus

Don't buy European cars but if you have to, buy BMW or Porsche

Thank me later

People seem to buy cars the way they vote. The Land/Range River is a great example, lol.

I only have the jeep wrangler as long as warranty is there. The moment it's about to be up I'm switching over to a nice Japanese car.
