Tom, i know you will never see this, but thank you for bringing my childhood back. You inspired me to be a pilot in the 80s and im man enough to say, i cried the entire movie, tears of joy, sadness, and emotional scenes. Best movie ive watched in 10+ years

I was a kid when I watched the first one in a foreign country, with the subtitle on and all that. Many years later, I became an airman in the US navy, working on 3 different carriers and the super hornets. Life was very tough while serving but watching this movie yesterday was calling back memories.

I had not set foot in a movie theater for 2/12 years prior to last Sunday when I saw this film. Hands down the best movie I have seen in 10 years.

That bell sound at 8 seconds in that repeats a number of times evokes such incredibly strong memories from originally watching Top Gun. The whole opening number is fantastic in the way it draws you in from the outside world into Top Gun, and helps immensely with allowing you to be drawn in to the world.
