Hurricane Milton has torn through Florida, bringing tornadoes, floods, and the risk of storm surges.

More than three million homes and businesses are without power, and there have been "a number of deaths" reported on the Atlantic coast.

In St Petersburg, on the west coast of the state, the water supply has been cut, and the roof of a Major League Baseball stadium torn off.

Milton comes two weeks after Hurricane Helene killed at least 225 people in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and North Carolina.

After 9 years, it’s mind-boggling how people still praise the biggest complainer out there.

Isn’t a “non retractable roof “ just a roof?

1:27 considering that Milton was a cat 5 hurricane at one point, it's odd to say that it made land "with its full force".

Funny how the BBC can rant on for hours about the weather in another country but ignore the very real invasion of illegal immigrants within the UK.

A storm so bad that it damaged mobile homes.

Maybe we shouldn't rebuild. It's like building on the side of a volcano. Build out of the way of calamitous natural disasters.

Scientists have told us that carbon pollution will make these disasters worse. We need a government to prioritise our safety and NOT the profits of the oil sector.

You'd think a first world country wouldn't have overhead powerlines everywhere in 2024, especially in hurricane alley

They really made us think that this is going to be the worst hurricane ever recorded.

'Winds of 200 kph ' Both the US and here in the UK use mph so why use kph?
Wind speed was approximately 124mph, there you go.

Thanks to FEMA for preparing a week ahead!

I've noticed native Floridians are lot less intimidated by this hurricane than the ones who aren't native.

I really feel for those who have lost their lives family and property but why in a hurricane and tornado area are so many house's built of wood? Wouldn't you be better having brick or breeze block housing.Europe majority of housing is way more substantially built.

Just say 120mph we don’t measure anything kmph here, you’re just doing that to make it sound worse 😅. There’s literally no need for hype, this is bad enough.

I mean, it makes us Brits who moan about our weather look like snow flakes.

Wind speeds in kmh instead of mph or kts to make it more dramatic. 😂
