HOT TAKE: let's not complain Milton wasn't as bad as predicted. Let's be thankful we didnt lose more than we did.

It looks bad but glad it dropped intensity. The big problem is, less people will listen and get out when the next big one is heading for Florida. Already seen people complaining that there was no need to evacuate 🙄

I'm glad that Milton was "only" a cat 3 when it dropped because if *this* is what a cat 3 had done, then can you just imagine if it had stayed a cat 5?!

I spoke to a college student who evacuated the Tampa area and had to pay 800 for a flight home to Massachusetts and admitted that she didn’t know how bad it was supposed to be till a few days prior. She had friends who had to stay because they couldn’t afford to get transportation away from there. Something has to change there - transportation should be greatly reduced in price and in some cases free when evacuation is so highly recommended. We can’t blame people who didn’t leave and had to be rescued.

That was so amazing Milton went from Category 5 to a Category 3 before it hit. 100 tornados also added on, how sad and tragic.

During times like these, the city should implement rules for people to stay off the roads during certain hours (unless life emergency) for repairs to be made more effective.

Those without generators gonna have a very bad time, but hopefully those that have can help neighbors and friends with the most neccessary things like food, maybe water and charge cellphones etc.

The background music is not needed. It is like ear trash. No need to have talking and music at the same time.

No, the mayor said 400 thousand without power, NOT 100 thousand. Open your ears.

Whoever says the storm wasnt serious is living in a bubble. I actively watched 3 tornadoes form in my area and one of them killed over 25 people resulting in the national guard having to come

People without electrical power were told to boil water before drinking the tap water; most people have electric stoves, so you must boil water using your BBQ grill.

“Boil water notice”
Explain how you boil water without power? You can’t start a fire in your house, or in the middle of a the street.

My bestie lives in Sarasota. They were over confident that it will pass. History said they haven’t got hit in 100 years. Talked to her prior, now I can’t get a hold of her. The towers are down.

Why would they pick a structure with a fabric roof as housing during a hurricane for first responders?

Mr. Welch does a great job, respect for the calm way he gives some hope and positivity in this situation! More of this in politics!
