Dude you ROCK!!! I spent 3 hours with two Apple Techs and they both couldn’t fix it. You fixed it just by having me sign out. They had me log out of something else and made me make another Apple ID and then wanted me to use the new one. I was like no. I want to use the one I made. I was about to reinstall my OS.

Hey I bought the MacBook online but I’m trying to download the app it tells me we could no complete your purchase. Can anyone help me?, my MacBook is old and I’ve been trying for ages to reset the whole system, I’ve tried everything, I’ve got to the point where I’ve made a new account and linked up my password with my main iCloud account, yet the MacBook still recognises my old email, and I can’t remember the password, can someone help me, it would be much appreciated.
(I need to update the system and download updates) (I can’t because I need the password, even though my original account with the iCloud account has been deleted off the system. )

I had to change my iCloud email AND enter the code after my password after it sent the verification notification to my phone. It worked, hopefully this helps someone.
