I’ve been using August Bradley’s system in Notion since 2020. I love how Notion connects my areas of focus, goals, tasks, routines, learning, media I have collected, my whole life, organized and easy to find when I need it. It also keeps me focused, pushing the needle forward, and staying on track. I can build a database for anything and filter it however I want to only see what I want to see. So far I have not found anything better than Notion for all of this organization and it keeps getting better and better every day.

Beautifully done, Carl. The only thing difficult I find about your system has nothing to do with your system. To me, archiving in any organized way within Evernote is a work-around for something they could help us with by creating a true Archive section. This would let us search with or without the archive included, for starters, but I think there could be some neat ways that the archive self-organizes. Anyway, thanks for a great example of the tidiest Evernote file I’ve ever seen. I am watching you do it and still don’t know how you do it so well! 😂

Carl, I love all this information that you have here on all the beautiful ways to manage information and all of this deeper self-reflection. Honestly, though, I don't have the time for it. Between two kids, sports, family outings, other family commitments, a business to run with 35 employees, two dogs, my wife, trying to stay connected with friends, yard work, trying to run 5k a week and strength train, the never-ending question of “what's for dinner?”, and about a billion other things, where can I find the time? Indeed, where is the time in life for it?

Oh, and my father passed away last December, and my father-in-law as well two weeks ago. We have inherited multiple properties that are four hours round trip from us.

What's the five-minute breakdown to move on to tomorrow?

PARA works very well for me. I try not to have more than 2 layers, I hate those deeply nested notes and the click orgy to open a note^^

Great info, as always, Carl! I just switched from Evernote to Apple Notes, and one of the perks is that you can build multiple layered stacks (which also creates the danger of building too deep) in Apple Notes.

Another powerful Video, I just wondering I currently use one folder with all my reference material and then use Tags to separate categories, or are folders with in a stack a better more efficient option .

Hello Carl, thanks for the helpful video: I still have a question. How do you archive a project notebook? You can't move it to an archive 2024 notebook. Do you dissolve the project notebook and move the notes individually?

Have you tried any other notetaking application in 2024 so far? Especially considering the future for Evernote itself.

In Evernote Windows, Notebooks always sort below Stacks, unless anyone knows how to change this. I worked around this by creating a "00 - Inbox" stack, but that is very clunky and should be unnecessary.

I noticed there no tags on your notes. Is there a reason why?

Tags to me are crucial as they provide the means of tying the note to multiple aspects of my EN structure. Using your structure as an example, a note can be tagged to multiple projects or goals or both!

So, is there a reason why tags are not included?
