Pistachios also have the most melatonin of any food. Melatonin is great for sleep but also a strong antioxidant and a mitochondrial uncoupler!

@3:40 actually according to nutritiondata (as well as other sources), one ounce of pumpkin seeds contain only 20-50 MILLIGRAMS of omega 3s!

Mixed nuts is always better than one kind of nuts. I mix walnut pistachio cashew pumpkin and peanut, because they are inexpensive and easy to buy where I live.

Both usually come with quite a bit of sodium. Pumpkin seeds vary so much in type. I once bought a bag of pumpkin seeds that were as tough and hard to chew as woodchips.

Pistachio is loaded with aflatoxin and it’s very easy to overeat them.
Pumpkin seeds are better option but i don’t know if they contain any fungus or toxins

Nuts and seeds are the most defended parts of the plant, so they are loaded with anti-nutrients and the nutrients they do contain are bound and very difficult to digest. Plus, they are usually infected with fungus.

Yum. I've been eating pistachios because Walmart keeps on running out of their brand of largest pack of almonds for home delivery (they are the least expensive out of all the stores). I only have sunflower kernels at home. Pumpkin seeds are similar too in terms of nutritional value and slightly different antioxidant content. I like them both but sunflower kernels are better on a budget.

I have heard it was good for my thining hair but I wondered if you had any opinion on the use of pumpkin seek oil versus just eating organic pumpkin seeds. I love Pistachios! My fave the Chili flavored Wonderful Pistachios in the shell. Don't like the shelled ones at all. I like to sit and crack 'em! And you get all the nut.
