Are We Saved by Faith and Works? James 2:24

James 2:24 says that we are not saved by faith alone, but by faith and works. So does this mean that other verses saying we are saved by faith alone are wrong?

we have salvation because of our faith. Because of faith in God, that'll produce works! Works don't equal salvation but, faith!

edit: we are saved by God's Perfect Grace through our belief in his Son's Cleansing blood that is Greater than any sacrifice. Works don't equal salvation because the Pharisees did works yet, they were considered the evilest because they lacked faith and etc even though they did works. A true believer will have faith in Jesus Christ with signs following not because works is what saves him but, because wants to and wants to please the Father.

As to the result of the theology I completely agree with you. But my approach to James and Romans is a little different.
It is often overlooked that Romans 3, 28 doesn't say "Man is justified by faith without deeds." but it says "man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." One should not overlook "of the law"! Whereas James speaks of the deeds by faith, deeds that are a consequence of the faith, deeds that show the faith, as you rightly say. So the two passages don't contradict each other simply because they are speaking of different kind of deeds
You can do a Deed of the law even without being regenerated. But for doing a deed of faith you need to be regenerated.

We are saved by faith in the Lamb of God alone, who takes away the sins of the world when we ACT by repenting ( agreeing with God on our need because of spiritual death/ Sin-debt load/ Sin nature) and placing our faith in his death, burial and resurrection of Jesus in the gospel. When we get justified by faith alone, the spirit indwells and sanctifies us, giving us many opportunities for works .Sanctification follows justification, as the natural consequence. Works in sanctification validate rebirth's justification.

Amen. The bible says that we have been save by grace through faith alone. Ephesians 2:8-9 One is supposed to live out their salvation. Love thy neighbor which encompasses a lot. Go out and witness to the world. Love thy enemy. Love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul which is the first commandment. God bless those who read this. 🙂

For the wages of sin is death but the GIFT of God is eturnal life through Jesus Christ our Lord,

We are saved by grace through faith it is the GIFT of God not of ourselves,

So much clarity we are saved by grace through faith, believing on Christ works are outward showings of the change within, being born again you want to pursue God with all your being in all that you do, and your works show your faith in Jesus being refined in the fire a child of God is more valuable than gold in the eyes of our heavenly father because our works, what we do, shows our faith in the most High .we are made the light on the hill that can't be hid from others who need Jesus .
